Our Story

Founded in January 2024, we specialize in optical astronomy outreach, inspiring curiosity through stargazing events, educational workshops, and astro-tourism initiatives.

We believe the cosmos belongs to everyone. Whether it’s viewing Saturn’s rings through a telescope or exploring celestial phenomena, we make space science an exciting part of learning. Our programs serve schools, community groups, and individuals eager to experience the universe firsthand.  We are dedicated to making astronomy accessible and engaging for all.

We also collaborate with diverse communities, including faith-based groups, to explore the philosophical and inspirational aspects of astronomy. Through planetary parades and night sky explorations, we foster wonder and connection with the universe.

As we grow, our vision is to position Kenya as a hub for astronomy outreach and astro-tourism. Join us in exploring the stars and inspiring the next generation of space enthusiasts.

Astronomy Mentorship

Cosmic Companions Kenya had the privilege of conducting an astronomy mentorship session during the Nairobi Scouts Camp, inspiring young minds with the wonders of the universe. This interactive session introduced scouts to the cosmos, the solar system, and hands-on telescope collimation, equipping them with both knowledge and practical skills.

Through engaging discussions, scouts explored the scale and structure of the universe, learning about planets, stars, and galaxies. The solar system segment provided insights into planetary orbits, space exploration, and the role of Earth in the vast cosmic landscape. A highlight of the session was the telescope collimation workshop, where scouts gained hands-on experience aligning an optical telescope for clear and precise observations.

This mentorship session blended education and practical learning, fostering curiosity and encouraging the next generation of space explorers. Cosmic Companions Kenya remains dedicated to making astronomy accessible to young learners across the country.
